Hurtigruten Voyage Day 10

M/S Vesterålen heading north in the morning haze

Morning mist

Crossing the Arctic Circle, with the Hestmann Island in the background. Hestmannen ('the Horse-man') once was a knight, but he was petrified one morning when he forgot to hide before the sunrise. Good luck for us, I say! He once shot an arrow that made a famous hole.

On the way to Nesna.

A short detour gives us a glimpse of the hole in Torghatten
